Guests visiting the area can take in the delights of Puzzle wood, a pre-Roman open cast iron working with fourteen mazes of pathways, rock ravines, secret doorways and passages.
Puzzle wood is regularly used as a filming location and you will recognise many TV and film moments from this iconic site including Dr Who, all of the Star Wars franchise, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, Harry Potter, Jack the giant slayer and Merlin.
Clearwell Castle is nearby and is one of the foremost wedding venues in the Country and Clearwell Caves are a unique iron mining museum and underground cavern from the Iron Age: both are well worth a visit.
There are lovely historic towns throughout the Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire, including Symonds Yat, Goodrich Castle and Newent (famous for the onion fare) with excellent cycling and walking locally. Local shop, micro brewery and restaurants nearby.
